SEALFIT WORLD RECORD TEAM UNITES TO HELP VETERANS THRIVE

TOGETHER WE CAN TRANSFORM LIVES
Hey Folks,

I’ve got some important news to share with you, so please take a moment to read this.

This Veterans Day Weekend, Team Courage, which includes myself, is going after a World Record for the most burpees by a mixed team in 24 hours.

We want to CRUSH the current record of 14,000 burpees by doing 22,000 burpees to raise awareness and funds for veterans with post-traumatic stress.

That’s 1,000 Burpees for each of the 22 veterans that take their lives daily due to post-traumatic stress.

My non-profit, The Courage Foundation, has a mission to change this by putting veterans with PTS through 18-month integrated training programs that foster post-traumatic growth.

There are 2 Ways that you can support us, and in typical SEALFIT style they are both fun!

The first is to DONATE to Team Courage and cheer us on live.

The second is to FUNDRAISE and do burpees with us individually or as a team over Veterans Day Weekend.

All the details for both options are below.

I hope you’ll join us to help veterans recover and thrive; all proceeds will go towards the cause.

They fought for us. Now let’s fight for them together.

Hooyah, Mark Divine
Your donation will go directly toward Veterans with post traumatic stress. Our integrated warrior development programs have been effective in increasing mental toughness and emotional resiliency in Navy SEAL candidates, professional athletes and entrepreneurs. Those are the same methodologies that are being used in our Veterans Programs.

There Are 2 Ways You Can Help!
1. Participate
You can START YOUR OWN CAMPAIGN and fundraise.
Our mission is to get as many individual tribe members as possible and at least 100 Teams to to crank out 2.2 million burpees on Veterans day weekend alongside us.

Join us - individually or as a team - to fundraise and commit to doing burpees on Veterans Day weekend

All of the Proceeds will go towards our non-profit, The Courage Foundation, which gives Veterans with post-traumatic stress the tools they need to recover and thrive.
2. Support Team Courage
You can donate directly to Team Courage on their fundraising page at Networkforgood.com.
We have an All Star team of SEALFIT athletes and coaches that are going to ABSOLUTELY CRUSH the world record of 14,000 burpees in 24 hours on November 9-10. We are going for 22,000. That's 1000 burpees for every soldier we lose each day due to post-traumatic stress.

TEAM COURAGE is going after the WORLD RECORD FOR MOST BURPEES by a mixed team in 24 hours to raise funds to help veterans with post-traumatic stress.

Our team's goal is to CRUSH the world record of 14,000 burpees by doing 22,000 in 24 hours. Why 22,000? To raise awareness that 22 veterans take their lives every day due to post-traumatic stress.

Our "mixed team" is composed of 3 men and 3 women, and only one person is allowed to do burpees at a time. To do 22,000 we will have to average over 15 burpees per minute for 24 hours straight!

Cheer us on! Follow us on Facebook on Friday, November 9 at 12pm PST to Saturday, November 10 at 12pm PST.

“When people are committed to a team, they'll go to great lengths to accomplish any important mission.”
OPTION #2: DO BURPEES ON VETERAN'S DAY WEEKEND WITH TEAM COURAGE!
Help us reach our goal of 2.2 Million Burpees by doing them with us wherever you are.
Step 1
See that there are 500,000 veterans living with post-traumatic stress, that 22 end their lives daily, and decide to help.
It only takes a minute to set up a burpee campaign. Decide what you’re shooting for and how many burpees you want to hit, whether it’s 220, 2,200 or 22,000! Pick a name. Pick a photo. And just like that, you’ll be ready to start raising money to help give Veterans with post-traumatic stress the tools they need to thrive.
Step 2
Spread the word about your fundraiser and ask your friends to give.
Once your campaign is set up, tell everyone about it. The more people you tell, the quicker you’ll reach your goal. Then sit back and watch the donations roll in.
Step 3
Join Coach Divine and Team Courage in the Zoom Gym and invite your supporters to watch on Facebook!
Join Us Live on Friday, November 9 at 12pm PST to Saturday, November 10 at 12pm PST
When you set up a Burpees For Vets Veterans Day Challenge fundraising page you will be emailed access to the virtual ZOOM GYM SO YOU CAN DO BURPEES ON SCREEN TOGETHER WITH COACH DIVINE'S ALL STAR TEAM!

About The Courage Foundation

It is estimated that over half a million veterans have returned home from combat suffering with post-traumatic stress. Fewer than half of the soldiers who report symptoms of combat-related PTS receive the care they need. Many soldiers that begin treatment, walk away from treatment before its completion. This is due to a general lack of trust for mental health professionals, a belief that psychological problems tend to work themselves out on their own and a perception that seeking mental health treatment should be a last resort. There is a need for a less invasive, individual and peer-centered approach.

Our programs bring veterans together to train toward common goals, building trust, comraderie and social support. The training integrates physical, mental, emotional, intuitional and spiritual aspects of one’s being through simple and highly effective self-administered training tools. The methodologies utilized in the program include the body, mind and spirit; such as physical training, yoga, mindfulness meditation, breathing techniques, contemplation, journaling, visualization, positivity reinforcement, goal-setting, teamwork and service. All of these practices have been shown to facilitate post-traumatic growth.

“I wanted to thank you for the motivation that I have on a constant basis now that we have returned from our trip.”

“I want to say thank you! The past few years, I had let my disabilities get the better of me. I began to sink into a dark and lonely hole. I had gained over 100 pounds and started the need of a wheel chair. My added weight was causing more damage to the already injured legs and back. I realized that this was in no way, the proper way to live. I decided it was time to pick myself up out of that wheel chair and live. With all this newly found energy, I am scheduled to be on the go from now until the beginning of next year. I am currently using the walk that changed my life, help others in need. I walk with those that want to “walk and talk”, helping others open up and talk about concerns, issues, thoughts that they are having.”

“I cannot thank you enough for changing my life. Mark Divine, you sir, are a beast. I thank you for the heartfelt words that day on the mountain in Greece. After my first half marathon, an enormous hurdle, we conquered that day. My tears were not only of sadness, they were of joy that I have not felt in a long time. A smile was brought back to my hardened face, and I made a promise to let it go and move on and Use that hurt as motivation for a clearer mind. Thank you for the life-changing experience. Hooyah!!”
